Workshop forms an integral part of the department of Mechanical Engineering as it is heavily involved in carrying out the manufacturing activities with the help of some sophisticated equipments on workshop courses for the students. The workshop department has well equipped and well furnishes machinery and equipments. The total cost of the machinery and equipments procured till date is over Rs. One crore. The well-equipped workshop of institute apart from conventional machines has spark erosion machine, planner, Milling machine etc. The workshop department has qualified, highly motivated and dedicated staff. Considerable attention is given in the proper planning and layout of the various shops as per the standards. Under the guidance of Workshop Superintendent and with the assistance of supporting staff, students are able to carryout the project work easily.
